SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR POWER PLANTS WITH LUXOR SOLAR MODULES IN Bosnia-Herzegovina


 

Luxor Solar delivers its first 150 kWp land solar system to Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Stuttgart, 26 August 2016 – Luxor Solar GmbH, producer of high-performance solar modules with German engineering standards, has delivered a 150 kWp land solar system to Bosnia-Herzegovina. The installation was realised together with a strategic project partner and was connected to the grid last April. 

Luxor Solar delivered 625 polycrystalline Ecoline LX-240P modules and frame technology from K2 Systems to Prozor in northern Herzegovina. The system was connected with SMA inverters. A 23 kWp rooftop system was installed in the same region at same time. These are the first PV systems which Luxor Solar has delivered to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Further systems are currently being planned.

Bosnia-Herzegovina has established a 12-year feed-in tariff for PV systems. The high irradiation values and a feed-in tariff of approx. 18.3 cents per kWh, means amortisation within some four years. All the electricity produced will be fed into the grid. When funding runs out in 12 years, the investor wishes to support local farms with affordable solar power.

The investor would like to set an example by pioneering the use of solar power in his country. With irradiation values of up to 1,800 kWh/m², Bosnia-Herzegovina enjoys excellent conditions for the use of solar energy. Measurements have revealed an average of 1,841 sun hours per year. Luxor solar modules have previously produced a calculated 1,400kwh/kwp per year.

The Ecoline polycrystalline solar modules guarantee high levels of efficiency. Excellent price and performance combine perfectly with the economic and geographical conditions in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The 60-cell module with a comparatively low voltage makes it possible to install more modules in series and thus enable a more efficient installation of the inverters. These polycrystalline cells are leaders in the 6” size. Their advantage: they can be manufactured more economically, and they stand out thanks to their low temperature coefficients.
